Giving Tree lighting set

RANGELEY — The 22nd annual lighting of the Rangeley Giving Tree will take place on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 6 p.m. The lighting will be held in between the Veterans’ War Memorial Monument and the Rangeley Chamber of Commerce building.

The call to invocation will be offered by Reverend Deacon Ben Wetherill of the Episcopal Church, the American Legion along with Rangeley Boy Scout Troop #503 will provide the Color Guard, and the National Anthem will be presented by the Wetherill Family.

After the lighting, all are invited to end the evening at the Congregational Church to enjoy seasonal music, Christmas caroling, cookies, cake, hot cocoa and coffee.

“As usual, snow, rain, sleet, or hail will not stop the arrival of our special Christmas guests Santa Claus, The Giving Tree Angel & Christmas Elf. So come one, come all and remember to dress warm! A spokesperson for the event said.
