MADRID –- Star Barn Uniques on Reeds Mill Road is hosting an Open House Sunday, Nov. 29, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Uniques, housed in Star Barn B&B, is a gift shop selling exclusively Maine-made items, mostly locally made.

The Open House will not only showcase local crafters’ wares, but several of the crafters will be present working their craft.

“This is not a craft fair per se,” says Ginni Robie, shop keeper. “Not all of our vendors are able to be present.” But it is an opportunity to see, and perhaps purchase, locally made items as well as meet the people who spend their days and nights creating lovely and useable merchandise.

One hundred percent of the sale price goes directly to the craftsperson; Star Barn does not take a commission on any of the items sold.

There will be a free, handmade ornament to the first 25 shoppers as well as free refreshments.
