Hospital auxiliary to host book sale
FARMINGTON — The Franklin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is hosting a book sale on Nov. 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Nov. 25 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Bass Room at Franklin Memorial Hospital. The sale will feature hundreds of new books, paperback and hardcover, for all ages and interests.
As an added highlight, author Stephen King has graciously donated an autographed copy of his book, “Four Past Midnight,” for a silent auction, as well as additional books and items. The Stephen King items can be bid on during the hours of the book sale, until close of the auction at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25.
The FMH Auxiliary hosts monthly activities and special events, which raise thousands of dollars annually to support technology and programs at Franklin Memorial Hospital. The auxiliary also provides annual scholarships to support education for students pursuing careers in the health care field.
Payroll deductions for Franklin Community Health Network employees will be available; Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express credit cards will also be accepted during the book sale. For additional info, contact Shannon Smith, Auxiliary president at 778-4726.
