Bar Wars
returned in this issue… Loop Skycaulker
returns from a scavenging trip having picked up a couple of androids from scrap dealers whose utility vehicle looks strangely like a 50-foot high ski boot. Of the droids, K2D2
looks suspiciously like a Schlitz beer keg (with tap on top), while 3CPA
knew nothing but had answers for everything.
The Last Resort restaurant on Saddleback Mountain Road was offering a “Slab of Sirloin (for two)” with potato
or rice, salad bar and homemade bread for $9.95. The restaurant advertised itself as “A great place to tie on the feed bag.”Rangeley’s Lakeside Theater was showing the following movies: “The Slipper and the Rose,” “The Spy Who Loved Me,” “The Turning Point,” “The Late Show,” “The World’s Greatest Lover,” “Heroes” and “Julia.”
A “Hotel Complex” was being offered for sale for $130,000. It was in the Sugarloaf area, with dining room and cocktail lounge, and over 30 rooms.
