Getting ready for the festivities
Kingfield Sno Wanderers’ Snowmobile Club members Jim Williamson (left to right), Maurice Wing, Louis Boyce and Sharon Boyce install Christmas trees on Kingfield’s Centennial Bridge recently. Not pictured are volunteers Tommy Boyce, Jack Banks and Clifford Norton who also contributed to the effort. The snowmobile club members contribute time and effort each year to decorating the bridge, working in two phases to get the job done. The first phase is gathering the trees, which are donated from the land of the Bob and Dianne Christen and fastening them to the bridge rails. Then they return after Thanksgiving to install the lights in time for the annual Christmas tree lighting, which is planned this year for Dec. 5, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Maple Street end of the bridge.
