A re-enactor at Washburn-Norlands Living History Center, 290 Norlands Road in Livermore, rolls out gingerbread dough. Such scenes will be part of Christmas at Norlands: The Children’s Hour on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is an interactive Christmas celebration for all ages and includes 19th century parlor games, holiday readings by historical interpreters, children’s activities, hot mulled cider in the kitchen, carolers in the grand lady’s parlor, cider pressing on the lawn, spelling bee in the one-room schoolhouse and storytelling by Washburn historian Kerck Kelsey in the simply decorated historic mansion.
