Myrtle I. Beedy
FARMINGTON — Myrtle I. Beedy, 77, of Phillips passed away at Edgewood Rehabilitation and Living Center Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, surrounded by her daughters.
She was born Aug. 18, 1932, in Strong, the daughter of Carroll M. and Fannie V. (Millett) Smith. She was educated in the schools of Strong and married Sherburne “Chub” Beedy in Kingfield in 1950. He died Dec. 12, 1989.
She worked at Bass Shoe and later Franklin Shoe, retiring in 1990. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, camping, fishing and gardening. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include three daughters, Deborah McGrath of Strong, Deloris Bachelder of Temple, and Dorrie White and her husband, Edwin, of Phillips; grandchildren, Ryan Bell, Lisa Vallee, and Sarah and Kristy White; great-grandchildren, Katie, Joey, Cody, Nicholas, Teila, Amber, Konor, Nolan, Paige, and Randi; one great-great-grandson, Damien; sister Roxine Nile of Strong; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Myrtle was predeceased by her husband; and a granddaughter, Carol Bell.
A graveside memorial service was held at Fairview Cemetery in Farmington, Monday, Nov. 30, 2009.
