Historical society curator retires

To the editor:

With the annual closing of The Dead River Area Historical Society last month, I have decided that would retire as Curator. Since the formation of the historical society in 1979 (30 years) I have cataloged, placed and created exhibits and genealogies of the native families.

The existing exhibits need a new life... someone who can give them some time and care. Volunteering is personally very rewarding or at least it has been for me.

Mary Henderson, President is working extremely hard to preserve the museum itself and that is a huge undertaking.

Please help her all you can.
Respectfully,
Patricia Wyman Simpson
