Robert F. Cary

He and his wife owned Dead River Gifts in Eustis

LEESBURG, Fla. — Robert F. Cary, 74, of Leesburg, Fla., died Friday, Nov. 27, 2009 after a lengthy illness.

He was a disabled Korean War veteran formerly of Stratton, and Orleans, Cape Cod, Mass. He was a longtime member of Disabled American Veterans, Mount Bigelow Masonic Lodge #202 in Stratton, and Leesburg Masonic Lodge #58 in Florida. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a gemologist and with his wife owned Dead River Gifts in Eustis.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn of Leesburg, Fla.; three daughters, Roberta Petersen of Leesburg, Fla. Renee Henry of Augusta and Rebecca Dent of Dothan, Ala.; and five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to the Mount Bigelow Masonic Lodge #202, PO Box 35, Eustis, Maine 04936 in memory of Bob Cary.

There is no visitation or services.
