SALEM -– Lack of scoring continued the woes for the Lady Roadrunners of Mt. Abram last Friday night.
The game would have been closer except for the second quarter where the Lady Ramblers out-shot MTA 17-7.
MTA trailed by only one point in the first quarter and outscored Winthrop in the third, 8-4. Even in the fourth quarter, the Roadrunners only trailed in scoring by one point.
With the loss, the young Mt. Abram team remains winless with a 0-3 record.
Tori Beane was the top scorer for MTA with 10-points on the night including two three-pointers. Miranda Smith was the second highest team scorer with 8-points that evening.
Look for a home boys’ varsity and junior varsity game against Mt. Valley tonight, Dec. 16 starting at 5:30. On Thursday, the Ladies will host Mt. Valley starting at the same time.
There are two varsity games on Friday, Dec. 18 at the Runnerdome. The girls will take on Wiscasset at 5:30 followed by boys’ varsity action at 7 p.m.
