Legislative Report: Dear Santa
Santa, this year I have decided to write you a thank you note for all the gifts I have received. You have been so kind to me and I just think it is time for me to say thanks.
First and foremost, thank you for the love of my children or should I say my young adults. Ben and Allison are the light of my life. Thank you! I even thank you for Baxter, my dog. Yes, some times he drives me crazy, but he is always there with a “dog” smile and wagging tail when I get home. (I hear he even likes you).
Thank you for my friends and for all the support they have given me over the years. They have stuck with me through the good times and bad. They have given me the hope for a bright future and the faith that it will come.
Thank you for the wonderful community I live in. Special thanks for the people in the towns of Avon, New Vineyard, Phillips, Strong, Temple and Wilton and to those living in Washington, Perkins, Salem and Freeman townships. I am honored with the opportunity they have given me to serve them in the Maine State Legislature.
Santa, in the next year we will face many challenges, but I know our families friends and communities will rise to the occasion. After all we are from Franklin County!
As you can see I have already received my gifts. Thank you. If I do have one wish it would be that all have the merriest of Christmases and the recognition of why we celebrate this holiday.
Santa, enjoy your time in our county on Christmas Eve and especially enjoy the cookies left for you. You will find none better in the world!
