As the Ski Turns
We’ve heard that Karen Pease
was a big hit on WSKI TV the weekend after Christmas. According to our friend Greg Powers
who works for WSKI they will be rerunning the show probably several times. Karen wrote one of her original poems about Sugarloaf and read it during the show. So be sure to keep checking channel 17 for her familiar face.
Speaking of Karen, she has a great blog on the Internet called Grumbles and Grins that you should check out www.karenbesseypease.blogspot.com. This site has some very funny stories and poems written by Karen and some older ones written by her uncle.
Locals’ races at Sugarloaf resume today, so get out there and cheer on your favorites! Watch the Irregular for today’s results as well as team standings.
Speaking of Sugarloaf, there’s a blood drive Friday from 12 to 5 p.m. at the Sugarloaf Inn. An American Red Cross drive, this is open to public. For more information, to confirm or to make an appointment, call 1- 800-432-7376.
Saturday, the Mt. Abram Drama students are performing the play, “You Can’t Take It With You!” at 3 p.m. at the high school. They’ve been hard at work, so stop by and support these budding thespians!
