To the editor;

“Yes, Virginia, there really is a Santa Claus!” I know because he came to my place tonight and brought me gifts.

I’d asked him for a new pair of boots or if they cost too much, a new pair of sweat pants.

Guess what? He brought me a new pair of warm boots; and TWO pair of sweat pants. Wow!

So, I guess I was a pretty good girl this past year, don’t you think?

The feeling for giving and the joy of doing something for others (as Christ and the Bible teaches) is what Christmas (and Santa Claus) is all about. God gave the world the first and best gift he had: his Son, Jesus, “To save the world from sin; and to save our souls for heaven.”

Merry Christmas, Virginia! Keep the faith.
