H1N1 Flu Shot Schedule
FARMINGTON — H1N1 flu shots will soon be available to individuals 18 years old and older from the Healthy Community Coalition. Starting in January, Healthy Community Coalition staff will be available to administer the H1N1 vaccine at sites throughout our community.*
Monday, Jan. 11: Livermore Falls at FMH Outpatient Services, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 13: Kingfield at Webster Hall, 9 a.m. to noon
Thursday, Jan. 14: Jay at Spruce Mountain Pharmacy, 10 a.m. to noon
Additional community flu clinics will be forthcoming.
It is recommended that you first contact your primary care provider to receive your H1N1 flu shot from them. Most insurance companies cover the cost of receiving the shot in your primary care provider’s office. While there ask about the need for the seasonal and/or pneumonia
vaccination, which could be provided by your doctor’s office and not offered by Healthy Community Coalition.
There is a suggested donation of $10 at Healthy Community Coalition flu shot clinics. Insurance, Medicare or Medicaid cannot be accepted.
Franklin Community Health Network is also reminding residents to call its flu hotline for updates about flu prevention, local seasonal flu and H1N1 vaccine availability, and public flu shot clinics. The hotline number is 779-3147. Information is also available online at www.fchn.org/news/flu-updates.
