Joyce Pinkham

1940-2010 — She enjoyed being around her family especially the grandchildren who were the light of her life

PHILLIP — Joyce Pinkham, 69, died peacefully at her home in Phillips on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010 surrounded by her family.

She was born Oct. 17, 1940 to the late Everett and Aletha Smith. Joyce worked for HG Winters & Sons in while working there and felt like the Winters were part of her family.

She enjoyed being around her family especially the grandchildren who were the light of her life. She also enjoyed being outside doing yard work, shopping, cooking, lazy Sunday afternoons and family get-togethers in the summer at the Sandy River Beach across from her home.

She is survived by her husband, Bert of Phillips; her son, Rick Pinkham and his wife, Joanna; daughters, Brenda Wilcox and her husband, Paul, of Phillips, and Suzanne Pinkham of Avon; her precious grandchildren, Billy Bailey and wife, Donica, Sherra Osgood and husband, Doug, of Phillips, Danielle Pinkham and Nick of Portland, and also her little angel, McKayla Howard of Avon. She also got to spend some time with her great-grandchildren, Jenna Osgood and Cole Bailey who could manage to put a smile on her face even on her darkest days. She leaves behind two brothers, Butch Smith and wife, Jeanie, of Phillips; Mike Smith and wife, Nancy, of St. Petersburg, Fla.

She was predeceased by her parents; daughter, Vicki Pinkham; and younger brother, Ted Smith.

The family would like to thank all of her caregivers who made it possible for her to stay at home close to her family. You all know who you are. You are very special people; thank you.
