The Saddleback Alpine Training Center is bringing back the tradition of alpine ski racing; Hawksley and Martin Wilson are the coaches. Upcoming races include: Jan. 16 — High School Giant Slalom; Jan. 18 — MARA J3/4 Giant Slalom Qualifier; Jan. 31 — MARA J3/4/5 Giant Slalom. The center needs volunteers for all of these events for: registration staff, course crew, gate judges, starters, timers, start and finish referees and course crossing and access control staff. All volunteers get a ticket for the day and a voucher for another day for each day worked. Email race@saddlebackmaine.com or call 670-8010 if you want to help out.
