Irma A. Hardy

1926-2010 — She enjoyed farming, fishing and gardening

FREEPORT — Irma A. Hardy, age 83, died Jan. 12, 2010 at the Freeport Nursing and Rehab Center in Freeport where she had been a patient for the past four years following a long illness.

She was born on Feb. 3, 1926 in Phillips, the daughter of Truman and Daisy Wilbur Fairbanks. She was educated in the schools of Phillips. She was Gramp Pinkham’s companion for 40 years until he died in 1997. She enjoyed farming, fishing and gardening. She spent many hours working on genealogy with her daughter Anita.

She is survived by one daughter, Anita Morrison of Litchfield; one grandson, Jerry Hardy of Topsham; and three great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be at the Mile Square Cemetery in Avon in the spring.
