Locals to exhibit in Skowhegan
Three local artists, along with four other Maine women, will present their works at the Central Maine Artist Gallery, 72 W. Front Street in Skowhegan, from Friday Feb. 5 to Saturday, March 27. The locals, Penny Hall, sculpture; Pam Ellis, watercolors; and Jan Royall, glassworks will be joined by: Kathleen Perelka, pastels; Mary Burr, mixed media; Hannele Lahti, photography; and Neiley Harris, oil painting. The theme, “Emerging,” will be interpreted and explored by each individual artist and expressed through her chosen medium. An opening reception will be held Friday, Feb. 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 6, from 2 to 6 p.m. The gallery’s winter hours are Wednesday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
