SALEM –- Lady Cobra Marisa Murray went six-forsix from the line for a game high 14 points against Mt. Abram last Tuesday, Jan. 26 in MVC action. On the evening Carrabec went 18-for-26 from the line, nearly 70 percent shooting.

MTA trailed by only three points to end the first and was down 32-29 at the mid-point.

The Lady Roadrunners were not able to gain ground being out-shot 12-9 in the third and 11-10 in the final quarter.

Mt. Abram freshman Miranda Smith led her team in scoring with 12 points including six in the opening quarter. Teammate Annie Dexter contributed with seven points followed by Amanda Richards with six.

A total of 11 girls scored for Mt. Abram that evening. Tori and Lyndsay Beane had five points a piece; Dani Smith and Mykayla Luce combined for six; and Kylie Rolbiecki, Colleen Shields, Jill Howard and Taylor Henderson added seven for the Lady Roadrunners.

Mt. Abram’s troubles came from the foul line where they only made 30 percent (6-for-20) of their shots.

Last Thursday, Rolbiecki’s 12-point night was not enough for MTA to overcome St. Dom’s where they took a 53-32 loss.

Tonight, Feb. 3 the Ladies will host their last game of the season with a MVC match-up with Madison. Junior varsity is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m.
