Maine Ski Heritage Classic scheduled at Sugarloaf
By Dan Cassidy

Make plans now to attend the 2010 Maine Ski Heritage Classic, scheduled to be held at Sugarloaf Mountain on Saturday, Feb. 13.

This is the third year of the annual major fundraiser for the Ski Museum of Maine, now located in downtown Kingfield.

“Our move to new quarters in Kingfield has exceeded our expectations, both in terms of the presentation opportunities represented by the expanded space, and the traffic the new location has generated, influence in no small part by our extended hours of operation and proximity to the Sugarloaf Outlet shop,” John Christie, President of the Ski Museum of Maine said.

A highlight of the day will be the on-snow vintage ski equipment and apparel expo. Glenn Parkinson, Maine Ski Historian will host a ski down memory lane and display a sample of his wonderful ski collection on the snow.

Everyone is invited to bring and wear their vintage ski classic apparel and join in a group photo to be taken in front of the Base Lodge at 3 p.m.
