Nope, not the Arctic

Pictured is the Carrabassett River at the East New Portland bridge. Last Monday, Feb. 1, the ice went out with a “tornado roar” according to those who live along the river. The middle of the river is clear but the ice sculptures along the river measure nearly 15 feet high and about 40 feet wide. Many who have lived along the river all their lives have never seen the amount of ice that has jammed it this year.
