Team Ten thanks you
To the editor:
As you all know, Cheryl and I returned to the Sugarloaf Charity Summit this year as Team Ten, with the goal of raising whatever monies we could to support the fight against cancer. With these tough times and less than promising economy, we hesitated to ask for more support again this year, but our list of friends, family and even acquaintances affected by cancer has grown significantly over the past year. So many of people around us, people we know and care about, are dealing with the consequences of cancer. Whether you are fighting the disease, or supporting a loved one stricken by it, it is a difficult and traumatic ordeal. We wanted to help in any way we can.
This year we are happy to announce that we have raised $8,655!
From the bottom of our hearts, Team Ten would like to extend our gratitude to all of you who supported us in the Sugarloaf Charity Summit. We couldn’t have done it without you. Once again, we were awed and overwhelmed by the support we received in this fight, and we have to say that our secret to raising money for this event is all of YOU. Everyone that supported us worked as part of our team. Without your generosity and commitment we could never have accomplished what we did.
Our team consisted of every single person that supported us with a financial donation, an auction item, a clap on the back, or a mention to another potential donor. You should all be very proud of what you have done to help fight cancer in Maine. We are honored to have worked with all of you.
Life is a gift and it is such a treasure to realize the depth and love of human spirit and generosity –-we will value it always. Thanks for sharing it with us.
In Memory of Kim, CC and Nicole.
In Honor of Karen, Patty, Coo, Linda M, Linda G., Danny, Nicole N., Sherrie, Diane K, Alicia, and all others who have or are battling this disease.
