Weeklong events at new CV library

CARRABASSETT VALLEY — A list of the events planned for February vacation week at the new Carrabassett Valley Public Library & Community Center was recently released by Andrea DeBiase, Library Director.

The new library is located at 3209 Carrabassett Drive, next to the Anti-Gravity Complex.

Sunday, Feb. 14, 12 to 2 p.m. — Healthy Community Coalition, Jennifer McCormack RN: Heart Health, Cancer Awareness and H1N1 Flu Shots —asking for a $10 donation for the flu shots.

Monday, Feb. 15, 4 p.m. — Book talk and signing with Kingfield native, Karen Pease author of “Grumble Bluff,” a young adult novel.

Tuesday, Feb. 16, 4 p.m. — Book Talk and signing, John Christie, author of “Sugarloaf.”

Wednesday, Feb. 17 — Music night featuring the All Star Steel Drum Band, Stratton Elementary School students led by Paula Stevens (tentative)

Thursday, Feb. 18, 6:30 p.m. — Movie “The Way We Get By” spotlighting three amazing volunteers who greet the U.S. Troops who pass through the Bangor Airport, produced by Warren Cook.

Friday, Feb. 19, 4 p.m. — Story for all ages with Library Director, Andie DeBiase and special guests.
