CHERRYFIELD — Glendon B. Wilbur, 82, went to his Heavenly home on Jan. 14, 2010, surrounded by his loving family, at his residence in Cherryfield.

He was born Feb. 11, 1927 in Kingfield, the son of Francis and Bernice Wilbur. He graduated from Stratton High School in 1945, and from Radio TV Institute. He is known best as store owner, and radio and TV repairman. He owned and operated Glen Wilbur & Sons in Cherryfield, as well as previous businesses. He that hath the son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” Glen is sadly missed by his family, but they rejoice in knowing that he is safe in the arms of Jesus.

Glen is survived by his loving wife, Norma C. Wilbur of 56 years (whom he married on June 20, 1953); their four children and spouses, Glen C. and Patricia Wilbur, Marie and Fred Wieninger, Stan and Theresa Wilbur, and Nancy and Ben York. “Papa” is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Julie W. and husband, Matt Turner, Katie Wieninger, Jennifer, Jamie, and Joshua Wilbur, Bethany and Breanna Wilbur, Amanda, Benjamin, Brandon, David, Joseph, and Meagan York.
