Helen D. Daughtery
FARMINGTON — Helen D. Daughtery, 89, of New Portland, formerly of Rhode Island, died Friday evening, Feb. 5, 2010, at the Orchard Park Rehabilitation & Living Center in Farmington, with her loving family at her side.
She was born on April 19, 1920 in Greenville, R.I., the daughter of Edwin and Lillian (Turgeon) Franklin.
Mrs. Daughtery was a very hard worker her entire life having worked at various woolen mills in Rhode Island.
She enjoyed shopping and had a great appreciation for antiques. Her greatest joy in life, however, was time spent with her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Joanne Grondin
She is survived by a daughter, Joanne Grondin and her fiancé, Dana White, of New Portland; son, Robert Daughtery and his wife, Kendra ,of Arizona with children, Julie, Steven and Warren; granddaughter, Melissa Wellman and her fiancé, Dave Sands, of Bangor with children, Zackery Wellman and Troy Sands; granddaughter, Kristen Ralph and her fiancé, Randy Grover, of New Portland with
children, Jonathan, Cheyenne and Lindsey; grandson, Tom Ralph of California and his son, Mason Ralph; siblings, Dorothy Beckwith of Pascoag, R.I., Pearl Irons of Pascoag, R.I., Lloyd Franklin of Florida, Earl Franklin of Florida, and Eugene Franklin of Pascoag, R.I.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles H. Daughtery, a WWII veteran, in 1992; brothers, Roy and Edwin Franklin.
Memorial services will be held later in the spring in Chepachet, R.I. with day and time to be announced.
Arrangements are in the care of the Wiles Funeral Home, Cremation Service & Remembrance Center in Farmington.
