It’s tax time

Dennis O Neil of Farmington is a volunteer with the Western Maine Cash Tax Assistant Program at the University of Maine at Farmington. It’s that time of year when everyone is trying to get their income taxes prepared. Many people are unaware of the Western Maine Cash program which is a community coalition that offers programs to help you succeed financially. For all working families earning less that $50,000 a year the Western Maine Cash Coalition provides free confidential tax preparation at the University of Maine at Farmington. Last year IRS certified volunteers prepared over 250 tax returns for free. For an appointment call 1-207-778-7954 but be patient some days there are over 25 calls that have to be returned according to the tax specialists.
