After-school programs begin March 1

All MSAD #58 as well as locally home-schooled students are eligible

CARRABASSETT VALLEY — Beginning March 1, Western Maine Center for Children will be offering after-school programs for kindergarten through fifth graders.

The first block of programs will run from March 1 to April 14 and include organized swim with Samantha Wright on Mondays, Percussion & Rhythm Instruction with Mike Blythe on Tuesdays, Introduction to Spanish with Steve Parrett and Amber Howard on Thursdays and Fridays will be filled with Kids Care Club activities and a variety of art and movement programs. Space is limited for some programs.

Monday’s swim will be at the Sugarloaf Sport and Fitness Center, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday programs will take place in the Begin Family Room in the Carrabassett Valley Public Library and Community Center. All students in MSAD #58 or those locally home-schooled are welcome to sign up. Informational flyers and signup forms will be sent home with Stratton and Kingfield elementary students at the beginning of the week following vacation.

Snack is included and discounts offered for booking the seven-week program block. If interest in a Homework House on Wednesdays is expressed, that will be added.
