FARMINGTON — The Evergreen Child Development Center, The Franklin County Children’s Task Force and Sherry Walrath recently announced an upcoming “Sign Supported Speech” class for parents, caregivers, day care providers and anyone working with non-verbal children.

This series of four classes will take place April 29, May 6, 13 and 20 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. tentatively at the Franklin County Children’s Task Force.

The class will provide techniques in signing key words as one talks to and with his or her child, with facial expression and body language as additional communication tools. This is an interactive class with plenty of “in-class” time for practice and fun. These classes are free of charge with light refreshments served and childcare available upon request with one week advance notice.
