FARMINGTON — The University of Maine Cooperative Extension is offering a Composting Workshop on March 23 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at its Franklin County office, 138 Pleasant Street. Pre-registration is urged by calling 778-4650 or 1-800-287-1478. Space is limited to 20 people.

A $5 fee can be paid upon arrival. At this workshop participants will learn everything they need to know to make quality compost. They will find out how to reduce waste in the waste stream, save money, and improve their soil for a better garden.
