Free pancake breakfast coming
FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Children’s Task Force, in partnership with the Farmington Rotary and Barclay’s, will be hosting a free pancake breakfast at the Homestead Bakery on Wednesday, April 13 from 7:30 to 9 a.m.
Parents and children are encouraged to spend the morning enjoying pancakes, fruit, milk and juice served by the Farmington Rotary and the Franklin County Children’s Task Force, while their children hear stories read by a local State Trooper, Matt Casavant.
After breakfast, the children will have the opportunity to meet the trooper and present him with the county’s puzzle piece to be put together in the Hall of Flags in Augusta.
The Children’s Task Force will present each child that attends with a blue pinwheel, a symbol of childhood. The theme this year is Strengthening Families and Communities in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month to raise awareness that it takes a total community effort to support our Maine families and children.
Anyone wishing more information may contact the Franklin County Children’s Task Force by calling 778- 6960, or stopping by the office at 113 Church Street, Farmington.
