Donald D. Fournier
LEWISTON — Donald David Fournier, age 38, of Avon passed away on March 25, 2010 after a brief illness at the Central Maine Medical Center.
He was born May 31, 1971 in Derry, N.H. the son of David and Patricia Kelley Fournier. He was a graduate of Piscataquis Community High School class of 1989 and Washington County Technical College in 1990. Donny drove logging trucks in western Maine for 20 years.
He was about to embark on his dream career in NASCAR when he became ill. In his spare time he enjoyed participating in the truck pulling events at the local and county fairs with his pride and joy the “Green Hornet.” Donny touched and enriched many lives with his huge loving heart, infectious smile and twinkling blue eyes. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved daughters, Keisha, age 13, and Autumn, age 9, of Phillips; his mother, Pat Fournier of Waterford; his father, David Fournier of Haines City, Fla.; a sister, Kelley Fournier of Davenport, Fla.; maternal grandmother, Ruth Niskanen Kelley of Waterford; aunt, Catherine Kelley of York; uncle, Robert Kelley of Chelsea; uncle, Peter Kelley and aunt, Deborah Regan of Hampton Falls, N.H.; aunt, Miff Hennigar and uncle, Buck Hennigar of Evanston, Wyo.; uncle, Chris and aunt, Lucie Kelley of Monmouth; paternal aunt, Kathy and uncle, Ron Jillson of Berrian Springs, Mich.; 10 maternal cousins; and two paternal cousins.
Services were held at the Phillips Congregational Church on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 with Pastor Sue Kaplan- Burgess officiating.
