Ray Albert Pease
FARMINGTON — Ray Albert Pease, 66, of Freeman Township passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010 with his family by his side at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.
He was born Nov. 16, 1943 the son of Ray N. and Emily A. (Parsons) Pease in Anson. He graduated from New Portland Central High in 1962. On Sept. 5, 1961 he married Betty J. Oliver in North New Portland. He lived in Berwick from 1965-1986. Ray worked driving truck for 39 years, retiring in 2006 from BOC Gasses in Kittery.
He enjoyed gardening and watching birds at his feeders. He took pride in providing for his family which meant working many, many hours every week for years.
Ray is survived by Betty, his wife of 48 years; two daughters, Cheryl Luce and her husband, Fred, of Freeman Township, and Melissa Rae Pease of Kingfield; two sons, Kurt A. Pease of Florence, Ky. and Shawn Pease of Freeman Township; 10 grandchildren, Dustin, Casey, Anna, Danielle, Jade, Mikayla, Orin, Shelby, Brandy and
Kendrick II; three great-grandchildren, Oliver, Bailey and Lukas; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his son, Kendrick; his parents; and his sister, Arlene Smith.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Strong Methodist Church at 11 a.m. with Rev. Gary Hubley officiating.
Interment will take place at the North Freeman Cemetery.
