Happy feet for area kids
Kingfield school nurse Madi Faraday stands beside the 100-plus pairs of athletic shoes New Balance generously donated to MSAD #58 recently. The footwear has been divided up throughout the district to those children requiring athletic shoes. Last year, school staff determined that some students in the district had inadequate athletic footwear, so district nurses asked New Balance for a donation. They contacted Georgianna Wright, “Charitable Program specialist” at the Skowhegan office, and she helped push the donation through, repeating the effort again this year. (Submitted photo)
