Deputies busy throughout county
WESTERN MOUNTAINS — Following are summaries of some of the local law enforcement agencies’ and emergency services’ activities last week.
Franklin County Sheriff’s Department
Members of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department were busy this last week investigating calls ranging from neighbor disputes to assaults in Franklin County.
On April 23 dispatchers sent deputies to County Way in Farmington where a warrant arrest was issued. They also went to Strong on Main Street to investigate a civil complaint.
On April 24 deputies responded to a call of an assault on Main Street in Strong, responded to a call of a neighbor dispute on BJ Lane in Jay, an assault on the Farmington Falls Road in Farmington, a traffic offense on the River Road in Avon, assisted another agency on the Dodge Road in Phillips, responded with a K9 unit on the Dodge Road in Phillips and subjects fighting on Main Street in Jay and transported prisoners on County Way in Farmington.
On April 25 deputies responded to an assault on Perham Street in Farmington, responded to a call of domestic trouble on Gramps Way in Coplin Plantation, responded to a call of harassment on Franklin Road in Jay, a grass fire on Goodwin Mill Road in Carthage, a domestic call on Reeds Mill Road in Madrid, a motor vehicle accident on Route 4 in Sandy River Plantation, a theft on Davis Court in Wilton and investigated an accident on Route 156 in Washington Township.
On April 26 deputies issued a summons on the Wilton Road in Farmington, served papers on the Chandler Road in Strong, responded to a call of harassment on Gramps Way in Coplin Plantation, responded to a call of domestic trouble on High Street in Wilton, made an arrest on County Way in Farmington, responded to a animal complaint on the River Road in Phillips.
On April 27 deputies responded to a call of subjects fighting on Broadway in Farmington investigated an accident on Route 133 in Jay, investigated a criminal mischief complaint at Thompson/Walton Court in Farmington, a complaint of littering on Route 4 in Farmington, responded to a suicidal subject on Bridge Street in Phillips, a complaint of threatening on Currier Road in Farmington and a weapons violation on BJ Lane in Jay.
On April 28 deputies investigated a theft on Main Street in Farmington, a 911 hang-up on the Bald Mountain Road in Rangeley, made a welfare check at the Thompson Walton Court in Farmington and a welfare check on Main Street in Strong.
On April 29 deputies responded to Unattended Death on Winter Hill Street in Kingfield, investigated a Violation Charge on Gramps Way in Coplin Plantation, investigated a school bus passing on the Schoolhouse Road in Farmington and an accident on the Wilton Road in Farmington.
NorthStar Ambulance Service
Mike Senecal, manager of the NorthStar Ambulance Service, said his personnel this past week responded to two calls in Avon, two in Carrabassett Valley, 13 in Farmington Center, 26 in Farmington, one in Industry, 13 in Jay, three in Livermore, 12 in Livermore Falls, two in New Sharon, one in Oquossoc, one in Phillips, two in Rangeley, seven in Stratton, one in Stratton, three in Strong and 11 in Wilton.
