Margaret Wilson celebrates 95th
Margaret Wilson celebrates her 95th birthday Saturday, April 17 at her home at Hazel Thompson Apartments in Farmington where she was joined by friends and family. Cake and ice cream were provided by her daughters, Nora Therrien of Strong and Rosie Kingsley of Brockton, Mass., and her friend, Vicki McDonald of Jay. Another friend, Rachel Marble of Wilton, provided peanut butter fudge, and the Hamlin family of Strong provided ingredients for banana splits, which Wilson often served to her Sunday School students over her 45 years of teaching. McDonald, Marble and Therrien decorated the apartment with several balloons and other 95th birthday decorations. Wilson received several visitors, cards, calls and floral arrangements. She also received a very special phone call from Daniel O’Donnell of Ireland, one Wilson’s favorite singers. She is an avid Red Sox fan and received a letter from the team.
