My name is Brad Orbeton. I am running for the office of RSU “SAD 58” School Board for the Town of Kingfield.

My family moved to Kingfield in 1962 from Salem. My family has been involved with the town in one capacity or another since 1970. I have been involved with the town since 1994. And I have owned property since 1997.

I am a 1977 graduate of Mt. Abram High School and an Army Veteran. I am currently employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Phillips. My son is a 2006 graduate of Mt. Abram High School.

I am running for the school board because of my concerns with the cutbacks in state aid to schools.

I believe there are solutions to these problems through public input and cooperation of the other school board members. I believe we can bring about resolutions. I am willing to work hard and diligently to both give the students the best education possible and to keep the district taxpayers in their homes during these difficult times.

Please vote on the school budget June 8.
