Thank you, thank you, thank you!
And they said you wouldn’t come –- WOW!
Over 40 volunteers showed up last week to help clean up the streets/highway and side roads of the Stratton/Eustis/Coplin/Wyman areas. They covered 25 miles and collected over 150 bags of garbage & other debris: tires, barrels, cardboard etc.
Others donated supplies, food and time towards the cookout.
We were gratefully surprised & impressed with our hard working volunteers. We couldn’t have handpicked a better crew ourselves. And we believe in giving credit where credit is deserved. The following is a list of volunteers who showed up to do their part for their community & environment: Jean & Stan Chenoweth, John Thompson, Arkie Rogers, Pat Reckards, Diane York, Debbie & Joe Plouffe, Sarah Strunk, Derek, Stacy, Mitchell, Gavin & Bryce Cobb, Kathy Matthews, Barry & Jennifer Crafts, Malachi & Jordan Shockley, Kimberely Latourneau, Judy Freeman, Dianne Young, Carla Newcomb, Cheryl, Ray & Amber Heikkinen, Kathleen & Jeff Jorgensen, Stacy Keene, Cindy & Mark Rollins, Lynn Schnorr & Sydney Royce, Mark, Jo & Tyler Hatch, Greg Lambert and Scott Dolan & Sons. Big Thank you to our road maintenance crew Randy Scribner & Jimmy Brochu who put out road signs and picked up the many bags of garbage & debris collected by our volunteers.
Special thanks to Grill Master Jeff Hinman who volunteered to do the cookout and collected food & supplies, donated by John Morris of Pines Market, Cubby & Susan Fotter of Fotter’s Market and Cathedral Pines Campground. We know the local businesses get hit steady for donations and we want you to know this does not go unnoticed. We appreciate all you do for our communities. Thank you Don Plante for assisting Jeff with the cook out. And Thank you to Sandra Scribner, June Parsons, Marcia White & The Carrabassett Valley Kids Care Club for the baked beans & yummy desserts you provided.
You all made this undertaking a huge success. If I have forgotten anyone, I apologize, you all make a difference.
Hope to see you next year!
