KINGFIELD — Friday, June 25, the Reinholt Gallery & Art Center at 245 Main Street will open its doors from 4 to 8 p.m. for the public to experience a wide array of local art and meet the artists behind the work.
Ian Reinholt, a custom furniture maker, and Saskia Reinholt, a fine artist who works in watercolors, oils, silks and stained glass, plan to present their work and the work of 20-plus other local artists at the reception.
“Our mission is to raise awareness about arts in Maine, provide a venue to showcase the many talents in this area, and to provide art educational opportunities,” Reinholt says.
“Artists spend a great deal of time in their studios, receptions like this are an excellent way not only for us to talk about our art, but for the public to get a little insight into the process,” remarked RJ Gray Jr. of Stratton, one of the exhibiting artists.
The public and the press are all invited and encouraged to attend the opening; light refreshments will be served.
The gallery will be open all day Friday as well. For more information, contact Ian or Saskia Reinholt at 265- 2056 or e-mail reinholtgallery@gmail.com.
