Phyllis E. Bolduc
PHILLIPS — Phyllis E. Bolduc, 90, of Phillips passed into the Kingdom of the Lord on July 1, 2010 at Edgewood Residential Care Facility in Farmington.
She was born Feb. 8, 1920 in Phillips the daughter of Fred and Shirley Savage Smith. Phyllis was educated in the schools of Phillips. She married Maurice Leavitt in 1936 and he died unexpectedly in 1944. Later, in 1953 she married Leo Bolduc and he died in 1983. Phyllis worked in local mills and later with her husband, Leo, owned and operated the Bolduc Boarding Home for 22 years until retiring. After retiring she moved to the Shadagee Homes in Phillips where she enjoyed the activities with fellow residents and particularly liked walking, going for rides, playing cards and gardening. She was a member of the Phillips United Methodist Church, Phillips and Strong Red Hats, and the Phillips Senior Citizens.
She is survived by three sons, Ruel Leavitt of Millinocket, Raymond and wife, Glenda, Leavitt of Las Vegas, Nev., Ronald and wife, Sheralyn, Leavitt of Mechanics Falls; one daughter, Linda and husband, Wayne Chadbourne of Avon; one brother, Curtis Smith and wife, Pearl, of Strong; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Louise Libby of Phillips.
She was predeceased by five brothers, Paul, Phil, Everett, Fred and Frank Smith; and two sisters, Dorothy McMullen and Doris Ranger.
Funeral Services were held Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the Phillips Congregational Church, Main Street, Phillips with the Pastor Sue Kaplan Burgess officiating.
Interment was at the Evergreen Cemetery in Phillips.
