‘Pie On The Porch’ joins festivities

FARMINGTON — Fresh home-baked pie or old fashioned dessert with whipped cream topping or vanilla ice cream, a cold lemonade or fresh brewed ice tea will be served at “Pie On The Porch” during Farmington’s SummerFest, Friday, July 30 from 3 pm to 7:30 pm on the Holman Parish House porch and lawn, 225 Main Street.

Musical entertainment begins at 3 p.m. and will feature a variety of music styles from individuals, duos and groups. Some of the musical talent scheduled to perform are Justin Davis and Francesca LeVigne, Sturgis Butler, Fran and Pete Addicott, and Jackie Ranco.

In case of rain, Pie On The Porch will be held next door in the Old South First Congregational Church.

The cost for a serving of pie or dessert with whipped cream topping and beverage will be $4. Al-a-mode with vanilla ice cream will be available for an additional charge of 50 cents. Take-outs will be available.

Proceeds will benefit the Old South Church community service, outreach and youth programs.
