NORTH NEW PORTLAND — The public is invited to an Anglers’ Sunday Service at the North New Portland Community Church Sunday, July 25 beginning at 11 a.m.

This service is a special worship service dedicated to celebrating the beauty of the Lord in the great outdoors of the Upper Kennebec River Valley, noted the Rev. Scott Planting.

Attendees will hear an original story from Gary Cobb of Cobb’s Pierce Pond Camps, and a reading of a story written by Arthur MacDougall Jr. about Dud Dean, a fictional guide.
