PHILLIPS — The public is invited Saturday, July 31 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Main Street for the Phillips/Strong Lions Club’s first annual Field Day.

According to organizers, there will be something for everyone, including a dunk tank to “get someone wet if your aim is good.” There will also be lots of homemade goodies for sale, games for kids with prizes, and the King Lion Clyde will be there serving up some of his “Famous Hot Dogs.”

“Get out and help us with our first fundraiser since we were chartered in April. It is sure to be fun! We might even get you in the ‘Dunk Tank,’” said a spokesperson for the club.

There is sure to be fun for everyone, and just wait and see what’s in store for Phillips Old Home Days, and “did some one say something about ‘jail’?” the spokesperson concluded.

Lions Clubs are known internationally for their support in eyeglass care, diabetes, helping the blind and always helping when needed.

Those interested in being a Lion can find out how at the event.
