Hagerstrom named health network director of development
FARMINGTON — Franklin Community Health Network president/chief executive officer Rebecca Ryder announced recently that Tom Hagerstrom has been appointed director of development of FCHN, effective immediately. In his new position, he will be responsible for managing fundraising programs to support the mission of FCHN and its affiliates.
“Tom has been with Franklin Memorial Hospital for 35 years and is a strong advocate for the organization and its community-focused mission,” said Ryder in making the announcement. “Tom is highly respected throughout the community, has outstanding people skills, and is very engaged in civic and community activities. These attributes will complement our fund development program.”
In addition to his fundraising responsibilities, Hagerstrom will work closely with the Foundation Advisory Board in planning special events and campaigns, be a liaison to the Franklin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and other major donors, and oversee the volunteer department.
“I’m a people person and am truly looking forward to helping the hospital and our affiliates connect with patrons and organizations so we can better meet the health needs of those living in our local communities,” he said.
Hagerstrom received his bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Maine at Farmington and later earned a master’s degree in business administration from Thomas College.
A lifelong area resident, Hagerstrom resides in Farmington with his wife Alison. They are the parents of two grown daughters, Paige and Tyne.
