Texas Hold ‘Em tourney planned

RANGELEY — The Rangeley Region Guides’ and Sportsmen’s Association is sponsoring a Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament at the Club House Restaurant on Main Street Friday, Aug. 13 from 7 to 11 p.m.

The buy-in is $50. First place pays 40 percent, second place pays 25 percent and third place pays 10 percent. The remaining 25 percent will go to support the RRG&SA’s numerous community programs.

The tournament is limited to 100 players. Those interested may pre-register by calling Kevin at 864-2038; leave your name, time of call and contact phone number. Players can also register at the restaurant starting at 6 p.m.

“Come early and enjoy a delicious dinner,” said a spokesperson for the event. Players will receive a ticket redeemable for 10 percent off a dinner entree.
