FARMINGTON — The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive Friday, Aug. 27, from 12 to 6 p.m., at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

For more information or to schedule an appointment to donate, call the American Red Cross at 1-800-GIVE LIFE (1-800-448-4533). Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. This blood drive is subject to change without notice, call to confirm site and hours.

Donors may safely give blood through the Red Cross every eight weeks. Eligible donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh 110 pounds or more, and be in good health. There is no upper age limit and most medications are now acceptable.
