After-school program, child care openings announced

(Contributed photo) CARRABASSETT VALLEY — Beginning Sept. 7, Western Maine Center for Children will start the Fall Session of its after-school programs for kindergarten through fifth graders.

This session block will run from Sept. 7 to Nov. 23 and will include outdoor experiences, art activities, environmental learning, group games and more.

All students in MSAD #58 or those locally home schooled are welcome to sign up.

A snack is included and a discount is offered with advance purchase in blocks of 10 sessions.

Western Maine Center for Children is a non-profit organization dedicated to the support and enrichment of family life in the Carrabassett Valley area.

The child care program (for ages 8 weeks to five years old) currently has openings in the State of Maine licensed facility.

Contracted days, as well as occasional child care for local children (or area guests’ children when the Sugarloaf Child Care Center in Gondola Village is closed) can be reserved on a space available basis. Reservations are required.
