LIVERMORE — A plein air watercolor workshop charity event is scheduled Saturday, Sept. 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Washburn-Norlands Living History Center, 290 Norlands Road, with artist instructor Barbara Hathaway, Painter of Sunsets.

According to organizers, several historical places on the property would make good compositions for painting, including a mansion, barn, gothic library, one-room school house and a gift shop.

Artists are encouraged to dress the part, bring a picnic lunch, camera and enjoy a special time in history. The event will be held rain or shine. Beverage will be provided.
