Next meeting September 2
SALEM — MSAD #58 Board of Education will hold its next meeting Thursday, Sept. 2, at Mt. Abram High School, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The following is an overview of the agenda which was released recently.
Following the Call to Order, guests will be welcomed and the public invited to make any comments, with presentations next.
The Communications portion will comprise a request from MSBA for an appointment of a Delegate and an Alternate, as well as info from Carrabassett Valley.
Discussion Items is next on the agenda.
The Superintendent’s Report will include opening day enrollment, information concerning federal funds for employment of school personnel, and the school calendar Blue and Gold.
Under Routine Items, future agenda items will include Internet policy (October meeting), and approval of school emergency plans.
For Action Items, the board will be asked to approve the minutes of the Aug. 19 meeting.
It will also be asked to consider approving the second reading of the following: Policy BEDB Agenda, Policy EEAEC Bus Rules, Policy BDA Board Organizational Rules, and Policy JQ Student Activity Fees.
Further, it will consider approval of first reading of the following: policy JRA Student Education Records and Information, policy JRA-E Annual Notice of Student Education Records and Information Rights, and policy JRA-R Student Education Records and Information Administrative Procedure.
Should it be necessary, the board will then go into Executive Session, which will then be followed by adjournment.
Other items may be included as needed within each category as they arise.
