NorthStar has strong region-wide coverage
I would like to add a clarification to Laura Dunham’s article, “Dog Bites Woman” in the September 1 edition of the Original Irregular (Page 8).
Yes, NorthStar’s Sugarloaf-based ambulance was, at the time, on its way to the hospital with an area patient and, although NorthStar’s Rangeley base was initially called out, the ambulance response was actually coming from our Phillips Base, less than 15 minutes away.
NorthStar is very proud of it’s response times for the area and even though we happened to be transporting someone else at the time, there was another ambulance on its way, ready with equipment and paramedic staff to handle her injury.
We regret that Ms. Rivers would have had to wait the few extra minutes but wanted to assure your readers that due to NorthStar’s strong regionwide coverage, an ambulance was, in fact, still quickly coming to her aid.
