ATV club meeting set for September 12, public invited

STRATTON — The Flagstaff Area ATV Club is inviting all interested parties to its next meeting Sunday, Sept. 12 at 10 a.m. at the Stratton-Eustis Community Center on Main Street.

Among issues to be discussed will be plans for the club’s next ride to Tim Pond camps for lunch or dinner.

According to Ruthann Smith, a member of the club, it was a very busy summer for the club. On Aug. 8 there was a very informal meeting in the Pines parking lot before a successful ride to lunch at Parkside & Main in Rangeley.

Sept. 18, the club will host a picnic for landowners and members at site #2 at the Cathedral Pines Campground on Eustis Ridge Road at 11 a.m. Attendees can go earli- er if they wish. “It is our opportunity to show our appreciation to the landowners for their generosity in allowing us to enjoy their properties,” Smith said.

The club also has an ongoing trail fundraiser at “Eclectic Treasures,” 225 Main Street. Sales will continue well into October and the club appreciates donations of new or gently used items. The items may be left at the White Wolf in Stratton to be picked up for resale.

“Be sure to stop in. We do have something for everyone!” Smith said. Items include tools, home goods, books, jewelry, a selection of wools and cottons, lighting, furniture, exercise equipment, toys and clothing.
